How do you stay sharp?

I listen to lots of podcasts…with sped-up audio! I love to read, and find that regular exercise keeps me alert. I also make a point of connecting with my teen and young adult children to stay current on the latest media trends.

What is your perfect work day/ work week?

Living on the west coast, I’m finding to my surprise how much I like to start work early in the morning (6–7am). I take a late afternoon break to spend time with the kids and then put in an hour or two in the evening, when I’m often sharpest. Working remote, I always love to have at least a few meetings to get in that much-needed people contact.

What quality do you most value in your teammates?

I love when teammates have a sense of humour, bring fresh new perspectives, take shared accountability, and give themselves and others grace when projects don’t always go as planned.

Why Quarry for you?

(What brought you here? What keeps you engaged?) Clear, confident focus: B2B. Tech. Demand marketing + ABM. Never hesitating to shape-shift to whatever a client may need, but staying true to what we do best. Not to mention working alongside super nice colleagues!

What have you learned to do as an adult that many people learn in childhood?

While I learned how to swim and run distances in childhood, only as an adult have I learned how to love these activities.

Would you rather go into outer space or to the depths of the ocean? Why?

Outer space, for sure. Less claustrophobic even if just as deadly. I love the concept that the farther out in space one goes, the further back in time one can travel—mind boggling.

What is the last book you read and would you recommend it?

Business book: Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath—would definitely recommend it as a fresh way to think about crafting and conveying compelling ideas. Pleasure book: Japrocksampler by Julian Cope—a fascinating read about the musical influences on post-WWII Japanese youth that led to an unlikely counterculture movement and radical experimental music scene in a traditionally conformist society.
