Our place in the world

Have you been to St. Jacobs? Once you have, you’ll never forget it. Though it may seem like a quirky choice for a technology-savvy company like Quarry, St. Jacobs offers an inspiring place to imagine and create. From here, we work with marketing leaders—and teammates—throughout North America.

With a tourist-friendly blend of restaurants, studios featuring the work of local artists and artisans, theaters and shops, St. Jacobs is also home to Canada’s largest year-round farmers’ market, part of the reason “downtown” St. Jakes routinely hums with the clip-clop of passing horses and buggies from neighboring Mennonite farms.

And our building is pretty special too. Built over 100 years ago as a mill on the edge of the lazy Conestogo River, this intriguing old structure is as rich in history and charm as St. Jacobs itself. Over the years, the solid brick and wood walls have also housed a felt factory, an ice resurfacing machine factory and diverse retailers. It survived a fire years ago, evidence of which can still be seen in the blackened tones of some of the exposed support beams.

Today, it provides a stylish, open environment that our clients love to visit and where collaboration flows. We gain inspiration from the views out the windows, the craftsmanship and natural materials and the old-fashioned work ethic imbued in its very bones.
