How do you stay sharp?

The computer world is not a target that likes to stand still. To keep up with that world, I like listening to podcasts and I also subscribe to RSS feeds from sites that I feel provide me with the information I desire.

Why Quarry for you?

When I was interviewing for my position here, I asked, “If given a choice, why would I choose Quarry?” My now-Team Lead responded with, “Quarry is not just a job. It’s a family!” He couldn’t have been more right. You really do feel like you are part of a family.

What have you learned to do as an adult that many people learn in childhood?

I think I missed out on science during my childhood. For me, personally, I found science very boring in school, but now I can’t get enough of it. For instance, did you know that an anatomic clock keeps its time by measuring a caesium-133 atom that oscillates 9,192,631,770 times a second? That is just awesome!

Would you rather go into outer space or to the depths of the ocean?

Space, of course! Mainly because in 1987 when Star Trek: The Next Generation came out. The show scared but also fascinated me with all the possibilities of space exploration.
