How do you stay sharp?

I believe that in order to be strong mentally, it is important to remain physically active. For me those two things often go hand-in-hand. When I work on cardio you can always find me on an elliptical with a Kobo in my hand. (Because who can really do long cardio workouts without a good distraction?)

Would you rather go into outer space or to the depths of the ocean? Why?

Outer space 100%! As Arthur C. Clarke said, “Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” That quote alone is enough to keep me intrigued by the possibilities of the universe. Are humans the ones who are meant to explore and colonize? Have others already done it and are they just too far away? So many questions, so few answers. With the many wonders that the universe still holds for us to discover, I find myself more amazed all the time. To witness the beauty of space firsthand would be a feat many could only dream of.

What was the last book you read and would you recommend it?

Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard. There are basically two parts to us; we have the emotional side (the Elephant) and the rational side (the Rider). Most think that our Rider controls the Elephant, but it’s usually the reverse. (Your Rider wants a great beach bod, but your Elephant loves cookies!) To understand how to achieve your goals means getting both Rider and Elephant to work together. I recommend this to anyone wanting a new look at making decisions and setting appropriate plans to achieve their goals.
