Senior Web Solutions Developer

As a senior web solutions developer in our Waterloo office, you will work with an integrated team of technology professionals to delivery high quality, on-time results, every time. We build web solutions using development tools such as ColdFusion, Javascript, mySQL, HTML, CSS & XML in a Linux environment. A preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Linux system administration.

Skills & Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with Web Site development tools
• Experience with Systems Administration
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional communication and team play skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality

Web UI Designer

We are looking for an experienced Web user Interface Designer in our Waterloo office to contribute to client projects.

Activities include:

• Applying principles of interaction design to the creation of client web sites
• Designing UI architecture, behavior, and web page layout
• Conducting contextual research for user and task analysis
• Developing user profiles, scenarios and use cases
• Constructing prototypes and writing design specifications
• Designing and facilitating usability tests and other assessment activities
• These activities will occur primarily for websites and web applications, though assistance may be needed from time to time in designing desktop applications. You will work closely with Quarry's interaction design, creative arts, development, and project management professionals - collaborating first-hand with clients to produce effective designs on time and on budget.

Skills required:

• Demonstrated design ability with 3-5 years experience
• Solid understanding of UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with formal and informal usability assessment practices
• Hardworking, flexible, and effective in multi-disciplinary teams

Technical skills:

• Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, Visio, and similar tools is required.
• Programming experience with HTML and Flash would be an asset.

Agri-Food Client Service/Project Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player, based out of our Waterloo office, to fill this exciting role on our Canadian based Agriculture team.

With a couple of years of marketing experience (either agency or client side and ideally in the agri-food business), you are comfortable working in a team environment managing a variety of projects. From sales tools and ad campaigns to point of purchase and web programs, you’ve got the goods to get the work done and exceed your clients’ expectations.

Project management and people skills are the basis to keeping things moving forward smoothly. Let’s face it, you’ll have to be great with details and can juggle multiple projects on tight timelines to be successful. But to be a Quarry teammate, you’re also interested in having fun along the way.

PC Support Specialist

We are looking for a service oriented team player to fill this challenging role.

Activities include:

• Setting up and providing end user support for PC workstations
• Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory administration
• Microsoft Exchange and Sharepoint administration
• Lan/Wan administration
• PC hardware troubleshooting
• Providing training to PC users
• Performance of daily tasks as well as project-based assignments

Skills required:

With your 3+ years of experience, you are a well-organized, strong communicator who can work at a fast pace and under pressure. You are able to apply your troubleshooting skills to quickly solve day to day issues. And most importantly, you are a self starter who will fit well with our busy, multitasking team.

You have a solid understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS Sharepoint and Microsoft Office Products.

You have a solid understanding of network infrastructure protocols and are able to apply your skills to enhance and maintain our Lan/Wan environment.

At Quarry, we support both PC and MAC environments. Your knowledge of the MAC environment is a bonus, but is not required.
