The Stars Align for Three Media Legends

When RIM and AT&T launched the BlackBerry® PearlTM 8110 smartphone with GPS, they wanted to roll out the red carpet in a big way. The late-spring target launch date coincided with the May 22 premiere of the long-awaited Indiana JonesTM and the Kingdom of the Crystal SkullTM movie. Co-branding seemed like a surefire hit.

That's where Quarry came in, helping Research In Motion put together a winning proposal to AT&T and Lucasfilm. Once approved, the real adventure began. Working directly with Lucasfilm, AT&T, BlackBerry and Starcom, Quarry developed magazine and newspaper ads for a dozen high-profile publications, including USA Today, Rolling Stone, GQ and Time.

Quarry also created point-of-sale materials, including Indiana Jones launch kits and in-store standees, for 4,000 AT&T corporate and indirect retail locations. In addition, giant 3D movie theater-style lobby displays for all AT&T and RIM regional and head offices were produced. Look for the Indiana Jones and BlackBerry Pearl "Start your Quest with GPS" campaign – now playing all across America.
